“Mees Joachim van Amesfoort quite quickly stumbled
upon the idea of basing the design for Roomful
of Teeth’s avatar, upon toys of clattering teeth.
Originally the separate teeth were supposed to be
representative of all the possible members of this
act, however, later on it was decided to highlight
Caroline Shaw and David lang as being
the tooth-covered heads, though in spirit the
separate teeth representing the individual members
remain.
When it came down to converting dentures into a
living being of flight, symbol related to dentistry
(and medical practices alike) were chosen to
become their wings, thus a pair of latex gloves
became a form of flight.”
